Exercise Cobra Warrior was held at RAF Coningsby during March 2016

Personnel from the German Air Force have been based at RAF Coningsby, whilst taking part in the exercise.

Cobra Warrior is a large-scale exercise utilising most types of aircraft in the RAF’s inventory, including fast jets, transport and ISTAR assets. During the three-week exercise, the personnel,and their different platforms took part in eight ‘real-world’ scenarios, practicing how to combine the different elements to the best effect.

The RAF and the German Air Force also used the exercise as the final phase of their respective Qualified Weapons Instructor Courses for their Typhoon aircraft.
