The Red Arrows arguably are probably one of the best Air display teams in the World. They have been thrilling people throughout the World for over Forty years. The Red Arrows are officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic team. They are the Aerobatic display team of the Royal Air Force, based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire (soon moving to RAF Waddington). The Red Arrows were formed in 1964 with seven Folland Gnat training Aircraft, which were increased to nine Aircraft in 1966. They operated with the Gnat until late 1979, when they received the BAE Hawk.

Since forming in 1964, the Red Arrows have performed over 4,000 displays in 53 Countries. The first display by the Red Arrows was at Little Rissington on 6th May 1965.
