On February 1st 2022, a B-1B Lancer with the 28th Bomb Wing from Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota USA, 2x F-15E Strike Eagles from RAF Lakenheath, and a F-35B Lightning from RAF Marham carried out several flypasts at former and current USAF instalations, celibrating the 80th anniversary of the forming of the 8th Air Force.

During November and December 2021 F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft from Seymour Johnson air base from North Carolina USA have been active at Lakenheath.

RAF Lakenheath hosts Large Force Dissimilar Air Combat training with home based F15C and F15E aircraft which were joined by F22 and Navy F/A -18E Jets.

The visiting aircraft arrived at Lakenheath in early October 2018, the F22 Raptors from Langley airbase and the Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S.Truman.

During the week of the 13th of June 2016, three MV22B Ospreys arrived at RAF Lakenheath for a short visit, working out on the local ranges.

In April 2016, the United States Air Force (USAF) deployed twelve Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptors to RAF Lakenheath to conduct air training with other Europe-based aircraft while demonstrating U.S. commitment to NATO allies and the security of Europe. The F-22 Raptors were from the 95th Fighter Squadron, 325th Fighter Wing at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.

Avro Vulcan XH558 visits RAF Lakenheath.
On the 27th of August 2015 Avro Vulcan XH 558 made a flying visit to RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk XH558 made several passes with a pair of base F15 aircraft before departing to Clacton airshow.
