Duxford's Battle of Britain Hangar is probably the most interesting of them all with Duxford Aerodrome being connected with World War II. The Hangar houses various Countries Aircraft from notable periods in history such as the First World War, Second World War and the Cold War. Hangar 4 exhibits the events of the Second World War during a time when the United Kingdom was exposed to new attacks from the Air. Some of the Aircraft on display include a Hawker Hurricane that flew with No. 65 Squadron, and a Messerschmitt Bf-109E which did a forced landing due to an engine failure whilst flying during the Battle of Britain.
