Cockpit collectors

Here in Great Britain we have a fantastic Aviation history. Over the years various types of Aircraft have gone out of service, apart from the very privileged few which are kept flying in private collections and other examples which are kept in Museums, most end up in the scrap yard but throughout the Country there are a dedicated individuals who have rescued the cockpits from some of these Aircraft from the scrap man and restored them.

Some of these cockpits come from a range of Aircraft, including V bombers such as the Vulcan and Victor, through to classic fighters including the Lightning, Phantom and Hunter, and smaller Aircraft such as the Jet Provost and Chipmunk. These cockpits give unmeasurable pleasure to both their owners and the people who have the privilege to sit in them, which is possibly the only time they are going to sit in the pilots seat.
